Curant Health is Honored as a 2016 USF Fast 56 Award Recipient

April 29, 2016 - The University of South Florida (USF) Alumni Association honored the 2016 USF Fast 56 – the fastest growing USF alumni owned or led businesses in the world, in the Marshall Student Center Ballroom and Oval Theater at USF Tampa.

Curant Health, led by Patrick Dunham, is passionate about improving the lives of thousands of chronically ill people nationwide through its innovative and comprehensive medication management program. Specially trained patient care coordinators and pharmacists form the foundation of the program and leverage MedPlan™, Curant’s enhanced, in-house EMR. Regular, intensive interaction with caring Curant Health professionals supports patients through the daily challenges of living with a chronic condition. Curant Health is recognized as one of America’s Fastest Growing Companies by Inc. Magazine. The company was also one of 10 finalists in Microsoft’s Excellence in Innovation competition for its development and deployment of MedPlan.

Curant Health was one of 56 USF Bull-owned or led businesses inducted into the 2016 USF Fast 56 by USF System President Judy Genshaft and USF Alumni Association Board of Directors Chair Betty Otter-Nickerson.  The company placed 18th on this year's list of award recipients.

“Curant Health is thrilled to be recognized by the University of South Florida for the growth of our business. We continue to grow because our personalized medication management programs are proven to increase adherence, reduce readmissions and improve outcomes for the most difficult and most costly to treat chronically ill patients. We anticipate our growth will continue to accelerate,” said Patrick Dunham a 1989 graduate of USF. “We thank our valued patients for the continued loyalty and confidence they have placed in us, and we look forward to continuing to serve their medication management needs in the future.”

To be considered for the USF Fast 56 program, an organization must have been in business for at least three years, have revenues of $250,000 or more for the most recent 12-month period, and be owned or led by a University of South Florida alumnus.

The 2016 USF Fast 56 companies were ranked by percentage of cumulative annual growth in revenue, as documented by Cherry Bekaert, a public accounting firm based in Tampa. Fifty-six USF alumni owned or led businesses were selected as recipients, in recognition of the year USF was founded, 1956.

“We’re proud to recognize Curant Health as one of the 56 fastest growing USF Bull-led businesses in the world,” said USF Alumni Association Executive Director Bill McCausland. “We look forward to celebrating on April 29, when we’ll reveal the Top 25.”

Curant Health also received the Accelerator Award, large company division, for being the fastest growing company among this year's recipients with over $150MM in annunal revenue.
